Interesting morning…

The Saturday morning started pretty normal. I got up early to walk Jack our dog before we had to head out to my son’s cross country race.  While I am walking, I receive multiple Voxes from my son and husband that my son had a nose bleed and there is blood splattered all over the bathroom.  Great.  They work on cleaning it up as best they can.  The nose bleed stops (most likely from the change in temperatures in 24 hours).  Then while I am finishing getting dressed to go to the meet, my husband informs me that my garage door will not open.  Great, again.  I go look and the spring has broke.  I call A&E emergency line and they get us in the cue and said they will be out today.   I forgot to mention, on the way to the cross country meet, we were going to drop my husband’s car off at CarX to have them fix some covers which started falling off of the bottom of his car.  (He drives a 1999 Toyota Celica convertible.)  So he takes his car to CarX while my son and I try to maneuver the minivan in the garage to get it out the open door.  We give it our best shot going back and forth, back and forth, but no go.  We at least maneuver it to get it out of the way for the spring to get fixed.  CarX puts the covers back on his car, no charge, thank you CarX on 42! and he is on his way back to pick Joseph up and get him to the cross country meet.  I have been texting our coach to keep him updated on the situation.  He gets to the meet in time and learned as I am typing this that he is running.  We are still waiting to hear from A&E and my daughter is getting antsy because she wants to go Homecoming dress shopping.  So now we wait, for either hubby to get back home to take us to the mall or for A&E to get her to fix the spring.  Lesson in life, just be flexible and go with the flow.
