Learned about a new place to recycle metals, aluminum, etc today – Cohen Recycling

I drive by Cohen Recycling on Kellogg Ave all the time and often wondered about recycling metal, aluminum and other items.  So for about a month or so I have been accumulating items in a bag and decided to stop by.  Items that I would have normally thrown into the trash, they will pay you for by pound (not very much, but I was just happy to not be putting them in a landfill) and they recycle them.  Attached is a photo of the item they will accept, the nice person at the front desk said that basically if electricity goes through it like a curling iron or a hair dryer, they will take it.  It is super easy, you just follow the arrows, pull around into the drive thru, give them your items, they sort and weigh them.  You do have to show your driver’s license and they take your vehicle license plate.  They will give you a receipt to turn in for cash in the front office.  My small bag netted me $1.78.
